
Sarah Khan
Graduate ResearcherSarah Khan is Postgraduate Associate at the South Asian Studies Council at Yale MacMillan Center (2018-19), and PhD Candidate in Political Science at Columbia University. In July 2019, she will join the faculty at Yale as Assistant Professor of Political Science. Her research interests lie at the intersection of gender and comparative politics, with a regional specialization in South Asia. In her work, she explores gender gaps in political preferences, and the barriers to women’s participation and substantive representation in Pakistan. In another strand of research, she explores questions related to the prevention of violence against women in India, and elsewhere. Her research has been supported by grants from the American Institute of Pakistan Studies, the JPAL Governance Initiative, and the National Science Foundation.
